Down South
This project deals with the parochial mentality within a border town in Ireland and how this affects the Northern community of people that moved “Down South”. It looks at the feeling of displacement within this community and how being displaced affects these people’s daily lives. According to Dr Pauline Conroy (author of All Over The Place) a displaced person will always have a feeling of being displaced, even if they end up returning “home”, and they will die with these feelings of displacement.
